Vallarta Botanical Garden

Updated: Jun 3, 2022

With multiple hiking trails for all levels, the world renowned Vallarta Botanical Garden is sure to be an experience to remember for all in your group. From rhododendrons to orchids and hummingbirds to macaws, the gardens are teeming with life. If the season is right, a fragrant walk through the vanilla plantation will delight the senses. Circle around the vanilla plantation, across the hanging bridge and pass by the begonia house for a lovely introduction to the garden. The Vallarta Botanical Garden is in the lush jungles, so be prepared with insect repellent.

The River Trail

The River Trail is one of the most popular hiking trails inside the garden. There is a medium route and an advanced route (requiring climbing over large boulders). We recommend you check with the garden staff and consult the garden map before embarking on the trail to make sure you are on the right route and that you have ample time to enjoy the water. Make sure to bring a swimsuit and a towel as swimming in the pristine river is a highlight!
